The Berryville Library--A Community Hub

ust as the role of libraries has adapted to new technology, so have we at the Berryville Public Library. We provide books, of course—and lots of them!—but we also have audiobooks, e-books, DVDs, video games, music CDs, storytime backpacks, cognitive care kits, mobile hotspots, and even a telescope available for circulation.

We only have 3,000 square feet to work with, but we pack a lot into that space, and there is something for everyone in our community:

  • nearly 80,000 visitors a year (that’s an average of over 250 people a day!)
  • roughly 75,000 items borrowed each year
  • access to free internet via our computers, Wi-Fi, and mobile hotspots
  • 500 or so programs that reach over 10,000 people a year
  • innovative enrichment programming for all ages, including story times, makerspaces, STEM programs, book clubs, spring break camps, and summer reading challenges
  • materials in English, Spanish, and Marshallese for our diverse community

All that equals over $1,000,000 worth of services and materials the citizens of Berryville get from our library for free each year. Plus it is just a friendly, fun place to be where everyone is always welcome—you never know who you might run into at the library!
