Black Hills Energy gift helps Friends of the Berryville Library reach 80% of Goal

November 10, 2023—With a $2,500 donation from Black Hills Energy, the Friends of the Berryville Library has raised $2.8 million toward its $3.5 million new building budget goal.

“We appreciate Black Hills Energy support for the building project.  Their donation demonstrates their commitment to this community, as well as their recognition of the importance of a new library for Berryville,” stated Friends President Shirley Rash.  “If other companies are able to support our capital campaign with year-end giving and we can reach $3.2 million by year end, we can schedule a date in 2024 to break ground.”

“We appreciate the educational resources and programs that the Berryville Library provides, and we are happy to support this new building project that will enable the library to expand their services and serve future generations of Carroll County families,’ said Joey Msall, PE, general manager of Arkansas operations for Black Hills Energy.

The Friends have been issued a challenge to raise $300,000 by year end so that a groundbreaking date can be set for 2024.  For more information on making a tax-deductible donation to the Friends of the Berryville Library building project, stop by the library or call Kristy Tesch at (870) 654-6565.
